Crazy Connecticut shooting killed 26 people today including 18 kids. According to USA Today and just about every other media outlet, a crazy gunman stormed into an elementary classroom earlier today and shot up a class full of children before killing himself in Newton,Connecticut. They say, he killed at least 18 children and 8 adults in the horrible event.
The shooter was identified as being a 20-year-old male ,named Adam Lanza, and the tragedy took place at Sandy Hook Elementary School. A second person was in custody and undergoing questioning. At least three weapons were discovered at the scene, including a .223-caliber assault rifle and two semi-automatic handguns.
It's also reported that several other victims were taken to a local hospital. Some witnesses reported up to 100 shots were fired. The news reports on TV, are reporting that Adam's mother taught at the school and he shot her along with the kids and the total number of deceased people are at 26 right now. Hopefully, that will be all.
President Obama gave a brief speech about it about 20 minutes ago,stating that we need to take greater measures to stop these mass shootings from occurring.
